Top 10 Moments of 2009

First and foremost, an official congratulations to the New York Yankees on winning their record 27th World Series championship!

(Yes, I know it's three weeks late. Sue me.)

It's been a long time since I've actually put time into a blog post. I know I promised write-ups of the top moments and final report cards. Unfortunately with schoolwork piling up -- and with no immediate means of income coming my way anytime soon -- I have decided to simply list the Top 10 Yankees Moments of 2009 (playoffs included):

  1. YANKEES PHINISH OFF FILLIES: Matsui, Pettitte lead Bombers to record 27th World Series title
  2. ONE CAPTAIN PASSES ANOTHER: Jeter becomes Yankees all-time hits leader on solemn September 11th anniversary
  3. YANKEES CLINCH IN STYLE: Red Sox fall victim to division-clinching sweep
  4. HISTORY AT CITI FIELD: Mariano notches 500th save & 1st RBI to finish sweep of crosstown Mets
  5. REBIRTH OF A-GOD: Alex bookends regular season with HRs, smashes postseason criticisms
  6. DAMON DOUBLE STEAL: Johnny steals two bases on 1 pitch to beat Fillies
  7. WALK-OFF WEEKEND: Melky, A-God, Damon leave Twins hanging
  8. HEART OF ORDER SWEEPS AWAY SOX: Damon, Teixecutioner, A-God lead 2nd half surge vs. Boston
  9. TOUR DE LECHE: Melky completes first cycle since 1995
  10. SWISH PITCHES IN: Swisher throws perfect inning in blowout loss to Tampa Bay
Again, I apologize for not going into a full-depth analysis but everyone (should) know the backstories of each moment. I'm just glad that I was able to get this on the blog for my loyal readers and followers to see.
